To be board certified by The American
Board of Plastic Surgery, a surgeon must complete an approved residency
of at least five years after medical school. That surgeon must then wait
a minimum of two years before sitting for extensive written and oral
exams. The board actually reviews all of the cases done over a 12 month
period as part of the examining process. After completing board
certification, a surgeon may then apply for review of his or her
credentials and practice to become a Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons, (FACS). This process can take another two years.
Dr.
Studin is both board certified and a Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons.

first step of successful cosmetic surgery is to educate the patient

accomplished, the doctor and the patient can then work together to
achieve a successful outcome that they can both be proud of.
