What do I have to do if I want silicone gel BREAST IMPLANTS?

Those patients who are interested in silicone gel breast implants must qualify for the Adjunct Study.

The criteria are:

  • Rippled or wavy skin after saline implants

  • Thin skin and  hanging breasts needing implants and lift

  • Existing silicone implants that need to be replaced

  • Reconstruction after mastectomy and thin skin

If someone qualifies, they should see Dr. Studin or one of the other authorized  investigators and discuss their options at length.

There is no monetary advantage to inclusion in the study. This is not a way to get free implants. There is no funding for patients who opt to be included. This study allows those patients who desire them and who qualify according to the above criteria, to have silicone implants placed legally. Potential  advantages are that these implants tend to be softer and  have less chance of rippling than saline implants.
